Ways of Giving

Annual contributions represent the driving force of Iowa Athletics and allow the department to achieve its vision in providing first class experiences for our student-athletes on the field, in the classroom and in life. The annual fund generates over $17 million every year to support more than 650 student-athletes that represent the University of Iowa. Funds are used for team travel, housing, training facilities, medical treatment, nutrition, uniforms and all other expenses associated with being a Hawkeye student-athlete.

I-Club Fund (Non-Deductible)

Contributions to the I-Club Fund are non-deductible. These funds provide support for scholarships (tuition, room, board and fees), travel expenses for recruiting future Hawkeyes, equipment purchases, operation and maintenance of all athletic facilities, medical services and travel expenses for all UI teams. By donating annually to the I-Club Fund you will qualify for various sport specific and non-sport specific benefits throughout the year, including priority points, access to seating, parking and exclusive member benefits.

The athletic giving year runs July 1 to June 30, which coincides with the University's fiscal year. All contributions made to athletics development accounts will be recognized jointly between spouses. Households requesting to have separate I-Club memberships for athletics ticket purposes, gameday parking privileges, or other reasons should contact the Athletics Development office at iclub@foriowa.org.

Endowed Scholarship Support for Iowa's Student-Athletes

The goal of the Hawkeye Visions Endowment program is to work with Hawkeye supporters to secure sufficient resources to endow each student-athlete scholarship in all 24 sports. Your investment in the future of Hawkeye Athletics can permanently endow a variety of student-athlete scholarships.

Gifts to the Hawkeye Visions Endowment Program can be made via:

  • Outright gift or multi-year pledge of cash or appreciated securities
  • Bequest in a will or trust
  • Charitable remainder trust, gift annuity, or other life income gift
  • Designation of the UI Center for Advancement as beneficiary of an IRA, qualified retirement plan, pension benefits or annuity
  • Combination of the above

Please note that named scholarships will be awarded once the appropriate endowment is received and sufficient payout has been generated.

Please consider how you can support the Hawkeye Visions Endowment Program today. Your gift is an investment that will pay important dividends for future generations of student-athletes and the University they represent.

Your I-Club contribution is not tax deductible. Therefore your payment is not deductible for income tax purposes. You are encouraged to consult your own tax advisor for applicability of the IRS Regulations.
